Helped by the children, we take a fresh look at this parable in the light of the middle eastern culture that Jesus lived in and his listeners understood. It's possible to misunderstand the parable as saying that we somehow have to make a nuisance of ourselves to get God to answer our prayers, but we find instead God is only too willing to respond to us and will always preserve the honour of his name.
