Our Community Help Hub offers support to people needing help with forms, navigating the benefits system, or simply a warm cuppa and a chat. This is offered to those who are residents in our supported housing, or those we work with.
In March we are launching a Uniform and kids clothing bank for Bedlington. Donations are most welcome!
The Hub also serves as a base for Hope Church Bedlington and R21 to operate from.

History:
The Community Help Hub started life as a free drop-in service available to anyone in the community that offered help and guidance to those looking for jobs or applying for or had difficulties with their benefits. It did this by providing free phone and computer use and broadband internet access, with the friendly volunteer team providing assistance where needed to help people search for jobs, gain confidence using computers, create CVs, complete paper or online job applications, apply for benefits or request mandatory reconsiderations or appeals against benefit decisions they did not believe were correct.
The Community Help Hub operated from a shop premises in Front Street, Bedlington
During the 9 years the Community Help Hub was open, our volunteers helped over 23,000 drop-in visitors.
The Community Help Hub was a service provided by Hope Church Bedlington.
In May 2019 the decision was taken to change the way the Community Help Hub operated. This was because some of the volunteer staff from Hope Church Bedlington were becoming less available and because the number of users was decreasing as other help services became available in the town.
However, as Hope Church Bedlington started offering new services the Community Help Hub started to find a new lease of life.
