Hope Church is not a community of consumers but a community of contributors. Many people give their time and energy to serving our vision as a church family – from volunteering in the Hub to helping with Kids Work, from doing PA on Sunday mornings to leading a mid-week Connect Group, from being a trustee to serving tea and coffee – there are so many ways to get stuck into what God is doing here at Hope Church and we could not exist without the hard work of so many in our church family.
James and Dennis serve the church as elders. This involves taking responsibility and being accountable for the overall health, vision and direction of the church. James is employed by the church while Dennis serves in a voluntary capacity.
James is the Lead Elder at Hope Church. He is married to Sarah and together they have two young sons. James and Sarah moved to Bedlington to be part of Hope Church in 2012 and are passionate about all that God is doing here. James is passionate about teaching the Bible, helping people grow in their own personal relationship with God and sharing the Good News about Jesus with anyone who will listen!
Dennis has been part of Hope Church from the beginning, forming part of a small group who were dreaming about seeing a new kind of church established in Northumberland. He is married to Kay and together they have two grown up daughters. Dennis is passionate about seeing the Holy Spirit work powerfully in and through the church with healings, signs & wonders and spiritual gifts. He also has a real heart for the church to be built on a foundation of healthy honest relationships.
