It was great to have John and Liz Wilthew, the founding leaders of Hope Church Bedlington, back with us from Norfolk this weekend. John spoke about marriage chosen the suitably controversial title - "Who's the Boss in This Marriage?" We learnt that the boss in every Christian marriage is not the husband or the wife - but Jesus. We submit to him and out of that place flows a healthy marriage in which both husband and wife yield the place of importance to one another rather than acting out of self-interest. John went on to give some great practical teaching on marriage.
